September 22nd, 2007 – Artists came to create and display their work for “Splash” an event held at Re-Up in Brighton, MA last Saturday. The urban street fashion store provided canvases and allowed the artists show up and paint while listening to hip-hop provided by DJ Neebor.

September 22th, 2007 – Ivan “Heat” Cofield, a Mass Art senior painting major, cuts into cardboard that will be used for the art work he creates for “Splash” at Re-Up in Brighton, MA last Saturday. He intends to give his work to the store as a gift.

September 22nd, 2007 – Ivan “Heat” Cofield pastes his character onto a spray painted canvas for his “Splash” creation at Re-Up in Brighton, MA last Saturday. While other artists use a set group of characters for their work, “Heat” said his was created randomly.

September 22nd, 2007 – At right, Mass Art Student Ivan “Heat” Cofield shows Jeff Steinbrink,28, a break dancing move that inspired the character for his “Splash” creation outside of Re-Up in Brighton, MA last Saturday. “Heat” is also a breakdancer who at one time had the opportunity to compete in Tokyo with his dance group “Floor Lords.”


September 22nd, 2007 – Ivan “Heat” Cofield uses broken pieces of pavement to hold cardboard buildings of the Boston skyline after gluing them onto a spray painted canvas for his “Splash” creation outside of Re-Up in Brighton, MA last Saturday.


September 22nd, 2007— The artwork pictured was created from a blend of spray paint and cardboard by “Heat,” a Mass Art senior for “Splash,” an event held at Re-Up last Saturday in Brighton, MA. It took about seven hours for “Heat” to complete this gift for the store.
